While I was reading the Webmasterworld thread where Markus Frind disclosed about his plentyoffish.com making money through Google Adsense I couldn’t believe it. This Vancouver based free online dating site owner is a model of the future web entrepreneurship. This week a success story was published in Wall Street Journal about his achievements with plentyoffish.com
He runs his multi-million dollar operation with the requirements of technicians, programmers and marketers which otherwise is require to run a site which is this huge. His dating site has 1.2 million users and hitwise rates as one of the top five busiest dating site and Nielson/NetRatings says that he ranks second to eHarmony the largest dating site on the web.
He had posted a check on his blog which he received from Google $1 million for a two month period. Also Google confirmed this as well. Today if you do the math his site is making $800,000 a month and $26,000 a day.
Hope this news on The Wall Street Journal make the skeptics keep quite.
